What we treat in Minto

Minto carries every housing era from pre-1980 to post-2010, from big blocks and duplexes to the newer high-density around the mall, with Myrtle Creek and the bushland running through it. The creek and the bush set the pest list.

Wasps, especially mud wasps

Our technician records mud wasps as very common on Minto houses near the creeks. Nest removal from brickwork, eaves and outbuildings, same visit where access allows.

Bush rats, rats and mice

Bush rats off the bushland are a recorded problem here. Baiting stations and proofing of roof and garage entry points, placed where pets cannot reach. Rodent control.

Termite inspections and treatment

Termites turn up in the older Minto properties. Visual inspection to AS 4349.3 with Termatrac T3i detection and a written report, treatment quoted from the findings. Termite inspections.

Cockroaches and ants

German cockroaches in the units and duplexes, Australian cockroaches in subfloors and drains, ant trails along paving and garden edges. Interior and exterior treatment.

Spiders

Redbacks in sheds, letterboxes and outdoor furniture, black house spiders in window frames and eaves. Harbourage treatment inside and out.

Strata and commercial

Documented programmes for the unit blocks, duplex schemes, Minto Mall tenancies and the industrial area, quoted after a site visit.

What customers say

Two of the five-star Google reviews for the OCG Pest Control Campbelltown team, which services Minto.

“Jim was super knowledgeable about what he was doing and patiently shared it with us too. He was so friendly and we felt like he genuinely cared about getting rid of the bugs and rodents as much as we did!! Loved his attitude and approach. We’ve saw dead roaches around for the following days and now we’ve not seen any more! Thank you so much!”

Maria Mustafa · 5-star Google review

“We had Gino and his team carry out a thorough pest inspection and termite barrier install at our property after an easy to arrange initial callout. All aspects of the work was clearly explained and carried out professionally. At the end we were left with extensive documentation on all aspects of the work, along with advice for ongoing management. Wouldn't hesitate to call them out again!”

Local knowledge: what Minto properties actually do

Minto sits in the Campbelltown LGA between Ingleburn and Campbelltown, with Minto Mall and the station at its centre, Coronation Park beside them, the Shri Shiva Mandir on Eagleview Road, and Myrtle Creek running through the local bushland on its edges. Our technician records the full spread of housing eras here, pre-1980 through post-2010, on big blocks, suburban blocks, duplexes and high density alike, with brick veneer on both slab and suspended floors.

The ground is reactive clay, the drainage systems are good, and the weep holes are mostly clear, with the exception that matters: some of the newer homes have garden bedding built up against the wall, obstructing the view of the weep holes and bridging the first termite defence.

Mud wasps near the creeks

The most specific line in our technician's Minto notes: wasps, especially mud wasps, are very common on houses near the creeks. Brick veneer gives them the surfaces, the creek gives them the mud and the insects. Nests are removed on the same visit where access allows.

Bush rats off the bushland

Bush rats are recorded as a common Minto problem because of the abundance of bushland. They are a native species, so the approach is station-based baiting and proofing at the roof and garage, not a scatter of baits.

Termites in the older properties

Termites can be found in Minto, especially in the older properties, per our technician. Pre-1980 and 1980s homes on suspended floors with original framing get an inspection at least once a year as the starting point.

Garden bedding over weep holes

Mostly clear weep holes, with some newer homes having garden bedding obstructing viewing. That is the one thing a Minto homeowner can fix in an afternoon, and it keeps the slab edge visible for the inspection.

"Wasps, especially mud wasps, are very common on houses near creeks. Bush rats are also a common problem due to the abundance of bushland. Termites can be found, especially in older properties."

The difference is simple. We do not spray a skirting board and leave. In Minto we check the creek side of the block, the roof void, the subfloor and the weep holes, because that is where the activity actually is. Tell us what you've seen and we'll tell you what it costs.

Minto pest control questions

Because Minto has brick veneer housing beside creeks and bushland, and mud wasps need both: the brick gives them surfaces to build on and the creek gives them mud and the spiders they hunt. Our technician records mud wasps as very common on Minto houses near the creeks. We remove the nests and treat the surfaces they return to.

A bush rat is a native rodent that lives in the bushland and moves into roofs and sheds beside it, and our technician records it as a common Minto problem because of the amount of bushland around the suburb. The approach is station-based baiting and proofing at the roof and garage entry points, with stations placed where pets cannot reach them.

Yes, our technician records termites in Minto especially in the older properties, which means the pre-1980 and 1980s homes on suspended floors with original framing. At least one inspection a year is the standard advice. A Termatrac T3i inspection checks inside walls and under floors without opening anything up.

General pest treatments start from $89 for a two bedroom unit or duplex, $149 for a single storey three bedroom house and $249 for a double storey four bedroom house, GST inclusive, with no call-out fee.
